Yongin FC hosts special football event for children in care

Yongin FC, in collaboration with Yongin Special City and Yongin Arts & Science University, hosted the ‘Our Special Kick-off’ event at Yongin Mireu Stadium on the 17th. The initiative invited 108 participants, including 62 children in care and 46 guardians, to watch a K League 2 match against Ansan Greeners FC.

The event was the first joint project following the ‘On-Maum Network Support Agreement’ signed by the three organizations in September. The program was designed based on a survey of children in foster care and residential facilities, where ‘watching professional football matches and experiencing sports’ was identified as the most desired activity.

Under the partnership, Yongin FC provided match tickets and stadium tours. Yongin Special City managed safety and provided travel insurance for all participants, while Yongin Arts & Science University covered transportation and snack costs.
