Yongin Special City Council launches research-driven policy initiatives

The Yongin Special City Council is implementing a new initiative focused on research-driven governance and community engagement. Various council research groups are actively pursuing specialized policy areas to differentiate the council's legislative approach.

Key activities include the Carbon Neutrality Research Institute IV, which recently held a seminar on developing carbon-neutral policies through a circular economy. The group discussed resource reduction, reuse, and recycling strategies to suit local conditions. Additionally, the Startup 101 III (Future Generation LAB) group has been conducting surveys among young parents to identify necessary support for marriage, childbirth, and childcare, such as improved daycare services and subsidies.

Other council groups are also active, with the Local Council AI Research Group focusing on administrative audit techniques using AI technology, and the Sports City 9 group conducting field visits to study sustainable development models for local sports organizations.
