Yongyu-dong residents select tourism signage project at local assembly

The Yongyu-dong Residents' Council in Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, held its 2026 residents' assembly with approximately 300 participants to discuss local issues and determine future community projects.

Following a period of online and offline preliminary voting held between August 20 and September 3, the ‘Yongyu-dong tourism signage installation project’ was selected as a participatory budgeting project. Additionally, the ‘2027 Yongyu-dong Residents' Council Autonomy Plan’ was passed with high approval. These projects are expected to be fully implemented starting in 2027.

Council Chair Jeong Hyeon-sik noted that the assembly served as a meaningful venue for communication and contemplating the village's future. Local officials, including Yeongjong-gu Head Son Hwa-jeong, emphasized that such assemblies represent true local autonomy and promised continued administrative support.
