Yonsei University holds August 2026 commencement ceremony

Yonsei University held its August 2026 commencement ceremony at the Open-Air Theater on August 28. A total of 3,823 graduates received degrees, including 1,578 bachelor's, 1,771 master's, 469 doctoral, and 5 research program recipients.

During the ceremony, President Yoon Dong-seop encouraged graduates to view their degrees as milestones for navigating the wider world. He emphasized that a “good life” involves contributing to the community and supporting others beyond personal achievement. President Yoon also noted the importance of continuous learning and practice amidst rapid societal changes such as artificial intelligence, the climate crisis, and demographic shifts.

The event was attended by Board Chairman Heo Dong-soo, Alumni Association President Lee Kyung-ryul, faculty, staff, graduates, and their families.
