Yoo Ah-in to return in director Jang Jae-hyun’s new film ‘Vampire’

Actor Yoo Ah-in is set to return to the screen in ‘Vampire’, the upcoming mystery occult thriller directed by Jang Jae-hyun, known for the hit film ‘Exhuma’. The production team and distributor NEW confirmed that the cast has completed script readings and a traditional ritual ceremony ahead of filming, which is scheduled to begin in August.

Yoo Ah-in will portray a contract killer who tracks a mysterious pagan group at the request of a clergyman. The ensemble cast includes Lee Sung-min as a clergyman, Lee Joon-hyuk as a pagan, Yoon Kyung-ho as a smuggling broker, Choi Hyun-wook as a U.S. Army second lieutenant, and rookie actress Doi.

This project marks Yoo Ah-in’s return to acting following legal controversies involving habitual drug use. He was previously sentenced by the Supreme Court to one year in prison, suspended for two years, and a fine of 2 million won. The film is targeted for a theatrical release in 2028.
