Yoo Jae Suk discusses quitting smoking and his admiration for Chow Yun Fat

During an episode of the television program ‘You Quiz on the Block’ aired on September 9, entertainer Yoo Jae Suk discussed his history with smoking and his eventual success in quitting.

Yoo revealed that he originally began smoking because he was a fan of actor Chow Yun Fat. He joked that while he intended to emulate the actor's on-screen charisma, he “ended up learning to smoke” instead. Yoo noted that he has been smoke-free for 20 years, though he admitted the quitting process was difficult and required quitting “all at once” rather than gradually reducing consumption.

The discussion occurred following remarks by guest Lee Jung Eun, who cited Chow Yun Fat as her role model, and surgeon Lee Joon Seo, who shared his personal journey of overcoming alcohol addiction. Lee Jung Eun also reflected on her past career challenges, including managing a theater company that resulted in significant debt.
