Yoon Suk Yeol and Kim Keon Hee spend Chuseok in detention

Former President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee are spending the Chuseok holiday in detention. Yoon is being held at the Seoul Detention Center, while Kim is at the Seoul Southern Detention Center.

Following Ministry of Justice policies implemented since last year, neither will receive special holiday meals. Their diets will consist of standard scheduled menus. For instance, Yoon's Chuseok day breakfast includes bone marrow radish soup, while Kim's includes shiitake fish cake soup.

During the holiday period, general visitation and telephone use are suspended. Physical exercise and religious services will be conducted at the discretion of each correctional facility.

Legal proceedings for both individuals are set to continue following the holiday. Yoon faces several trials, including charges related to the December 3 martial law incident and allegations of receiving free opinion polls from political broker Myung Tae-kyun. Kim is awaiting a Supreme Court en banc hearing regarding three major allegations, including stock manipulation and bribery, scheduled for the 29th.
