AI-generated images depicting Girls' Generation member Yoona in a fabricated pregnancy announcement have sparked significant controversy online. The synthesized images show the singer standing next to an unidentified man while appearing to pose for a maternity photo, leading to widespread misinformation.

Fans have expressed outrage over the potential for such deepfake content to damage celebrity reputations and infringe upon privacy. Although the original poster deleted the content after the controversy grew, the images continue to circulate on social media and online communities.

SM Entertainment has maintained a firm stance against such malicious content. The agency previously announced it is pursuing criminal complaints and legal action against those spreading false information, defamation, sexual harassment, and privacy violations. SM emphasized that deleting posts or switching accounts to private will not exempt individuals from legal responsibility, as the company is actively collecting evidence to prosecute those distributing distorted AI content.
