Yopal municipality and Ecuador's SERCOP launch digital anti‑corruption reporting channels

The municipal government of Yopal in Colombia has activated an email address (denunciasanticorrupcion@yopal-casanare.gov.co) for citizens, public employees and contractors to report alleged corruption, conflicts of interest or irregular conduct within the city administration. Reports are handled confidentially under Colombia’s anti‑corruption law.

In Ecuador, the National Public Procurement Service (SERCOP) together with the Secretariat of Public Integrity will open an automated WhatsApp channel in August 2026 to receive citizen alerts about possible corruption or administrative irregularities in the public sector. The service will forward reports to the Secretariat for analysis and possible investigation, complementing formal complaints to the Attorney General.

Both initiatives aim to strengthen transparency, civic participation and institutional oversight in their respective jurisdictions.
