York Police launch urgent search for missing man Xianwei Xi

North Yorkshire Police have launched an urgent search for 26-year-old Xianwei Xi, who has disappeared from the Heslington area of York. Xi, who is also known as Jeremiah Xi or Francis Xi, was last known to have spoken with family members at approximately 7:00 pm on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

Specialist search teams and tracking resources are currently conducting extensive physical searches in and around the York district. Authorities have expressed growing concern for his safety and welfare as the search continues.

Police are urging residents, students, and commuters in the Heslington and wider York area to report any sightings or information. Anyone who sees Xi is instructed to call 999 immediately.
