York River Art Market returns August 2026 with 30+ local artists

The York River Art Market is back for its 11th year, running on the Dame Judi Dench Walk along the Ouse riverside in York from 10 am to 5:30 pm on four weekends in August 2026 (1‑2, 8‑9, 15‑16).

More than 30 independent makers will exhibit paintings, prints, jewellery, textiles, glass, ceramics and other handcrafted goods, with free entry. A launch party was held on 30 July at Spark York, hosted by market director Caroline Turner.

The market supports the local charity York Rescue Boat, and the launch preview showcased creators such as visual artist Drew Naylor, fine artist Caitlin Cunningham and Losange Pottery.
