Yorkshire man hospitalized after neck injury from drying hair

Samuel Johnson, a 21-year-old man from Yorkshire, England, was hospitalized after injuring his neck while rushing to get ready for work. After waking up 45 minutes late, Johnson attempted to dry his wet hair quickly with a towel. He reported that while pulling the towel, he accidentally jerked his neck and heard a “crack.”

Although the initial pain was mild, it intensified throughout the day, making it difficult for him to turn his head. He eventually sought emergency medical care due to severe pain. Doctors diagnosed him with a pinched nerve and prescribed painkillers. One week after the incident, Johnson reported feeling better and advised others not to rush their morning routines at the expense of their health.
