Yorkshire terrier reunited with owner after two years in desert

A Yorkshire terrier named Prada Chanel has been reunited with her owner, Simone Brown, after being found abandoned in the California desert. The dog had been missing for over two years after Brown, a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona, handed the puppy to a truck driver who promised to care for her.

A rescuer from the organization savemytail.org discovered the dog in poor condition, noting a matted coat and long nails. Upon scanning the dog for a microchip, rescuers found the registration still contained Brown’s original contact information from New York.

Following the discovery, volunteers arranged for the dog to be transported from California to Arizona. The reunion took place on December 22, just before Christmas.
