YOSHIKI and Josh Groban to release live recording of ‘Forever Love’

Musicians YOSHIKI and Josh Groban have announced a new live recording of the ballad ‘Forever Love’, scheduled for worldwide release on August 28. The performance was captured during YOSHIKI’s debut at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on July 17, 2026.

Originally composed by YOSHIKI for X JAPAN and released in 1996, ‘Forever Love’ is considered one of Japan’s most iconic ballads. This new version features a reimagined arrangement for piano and orchestra. The recording includes a new English opening written by YOSHIKI, followed by Groban performing the song’s original Japanese and English lyrics.

YOSHIKI described the collaboration as deeply moving, noting that Groban brought extraordinary emotion to the piece. Groban expressed that it was an honor to transcend language and genre to bring new life to the song.
