Yoshinoya launches child discount; Tokyo cooking school adds summer food‑education sessions

Yoshinoya has introduced a “Kodomo Genki Wari” campaign for elementary‑school children in Saitama prefecture. From 16 July to 3 September 2026, a single item per child is discounted by ¥80 on bowls, plates, set meals, curries and other menu options, both in‑store and for take‑out. The discount does not apply to the Dragon Quest Walk set, side menus, web‑payment orders or delivery.

G‑FACTORY’s culinary school “Drink Shoku Juku” is expanding its popular summer food‑education event “What’s Inside the Fish? ‘Itadakimasu’ Lesson”. After the original four‑session program sold out, three additional sessions were added for 28 July, 18 August and 25 August, accommodating up to 104 participants. Children aged up to elementary 6 learn fish anatomy, the use of whole fish in Japanese cuisine, and practice making sushi with freshly prepared fish. The fee is ¥4,800 per participant.
