Yoshitaka Hara experiences maritime rescue training with Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force

In the third installment of the Fuji TV special program “Miracle Rescue Dramas,” Yoshitaka Hara, a member of the group timelesz, participated as a one-day member of the 71st Flying Squadron at the Iwakuni Air Base. The unit operates the US-2, a domestically produced amphibious rescue aircraft used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.

Hara underwent rigorous circuit training and rescue drills involving rescue boats to experience the demanding nature of maritime life-saving operations. The program features real rescue footage provided by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, the Japan Coast Guard, police, and fire departments, showcasing various life-saving missions conducted under extreme weather conditions.

In addition to the maritime training, the broadcast highlights several high-stakes rescue scenarios, including a mission to save workers from a capsized vessel during a typhoon and mountain rescue operations in Hokkaido. The program includes commentary from rescue professionals to explain the importance of training, teamwork, and rapid decision-making in saving lives.
