Youcef Belaïli poised to rejoin MC Alger after Espérance de Tunis ends talks

Algerian international midfielder Youcef Belaïli is close to returning to MC Alger. The club announced a principle agreement on contract and financial terms for the 2026‑2027 season, pending the lifting of his FIFA‑imposed suspension by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and a successful medical examination.

Espérance de Tunis has officially terminated negotiations to extend Belaïli’s contract, stating that all possible efforts to reach an agreement had been exhausted and that the player missed scheduled meetings for contract signing and medical tests. With the Tunisian club’s exit, MC Alger reiterated its readiness to finalise the deal once the legal and medical conditions are satisfied.
