Young couple establishes modern dairy farm in Kırklareli

Agricultural engineer Melih Balcı and his wife, Cansu Balcı, have established a modern dairy farm in Kayalı village, Kırklareli, following a migration from urban to rural life. The couple utilized a 50 percent grant provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Rural Development Investment Support Program to build the facility on 20 acres of land.

Currently operating with 45 cattle, the farm incorporates modern technology to enhance production. Melih Balcı, a graduate of Namık Kemal University, stated that the government support accelerated their progress by two to three years. The couple aims to expand the facility to include 50 to 100 milking animals and operate a second barn dedicated to milk production.
