Premier League transfer market: Ezri Konsa's £60m Arsenal bid and other key moves

England defender Ezri Konsa, 28, has attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool after 48 appearances for Aston Villa last season. Arsenal view him as a key right‑back reinforcement following William Saliba’s injury, but the club is expected to meet Aston Villa’s £60 million valuation, which Liverpool considers excessive.

Feyenoord right‑back Givairo Read, 20, has drawn offers from Nottingham Forest and Italy’s AS Roma. The Dutch international, who has made 53 appearances and contributed 15 assists, says he is not under pressure to leave but remains open to a move that could aid his development and senior‑national team ambitions.

Former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, now a free agent, was close to signing a one‑year contract with Turkish side Besiktas, reportedly worth €12 million per year. The deal collapsed after Besiktas objected to a 35 percent commission demanded by Salah’s agent, adding roughly €5 million to the package, and disagreements over commercial and image‑rights revenue.
