Young Musicians European Orchestra to tour Japan
The Young Musicians European Orchestra will conduct a tour in Japan this October, featuring a series of concerts, masterclasses, and symphonic-choral productions. The tour is organized in collaboration with Showa University in Tokyo, a leading musical academic institution.
Scheduled activities include a masterclass led by Maestro Paolo Olmi focusing on 19th-century Italian sacred music. The program will culminate on October 18 at the Showa University auditorium with a performance of Rossini’s ‘Stabat Mater’. Additionally, soloists led by violinists Indro Borreani and Martino Colombo will perform works by Vivaldi and Bach at the Okinawa Convention Center on October 14 and the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo on October 16.
This cultural exchange coincides with the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan. The orchestra, which has previously performed in countries such as Iran, China, and Vietnam, aims to promote Italian musical excellence and foster growth among young musicians through international collaboration.
