Young Poles face 97.2 million PLN in debt

Data from BIG InfoMonitor and BIK reveals that approximately 31,700 young Poles aged 18 to 24 have entered adulthood with significant outstanding debts totaling 97.2 million PLN.

Of this total, 46 million PLN consists of non-credit liabilities, such as unpaid telephone or internet bills, fines for fare evasion, rent, and alimony. The report highlights that many young individuals are facing financial pitfalls immediately upon gaining the legal capacity to enter into obligations, often failing to manage the responsibilities that accompany their newfound independence.
