Young Thug and YSL’s compilation album, ‘Slime Language 3’, debuted at No. 146 on the Billboard 200, earning approximately 11,000 equivalent album units during its first tracking week. This marks the lowest opening for the series, which previously saw ‘Slime Language 2’ debut at No. 1 with 113,000 units in 2021.

The project’s performance may have been impacted by its unexpected late-Friday release and limited advance promotion. The 41-track compilation features various artists, including Travis Scott, Future, Lil Baby, and Quavo.

The release comes during a period of transition for the YSL brand following the YSL RICO trial. Legal conditions and shifts in label affiliations have forced a reconstruction of the label’s identity. This latest installment relies heavily on the momentum of newer artists like Tezzus and the ØWAY collective to redefine the brand in the aftermath of legal challenges.
