Young Thug launches Primal holding company for creators

Rapper Young Thug has launched Primal, a new creative holding company designed to help artists, athletes, and creators transition from traditional endorsements to business ownership. The company aims to create, acquire, and invest in businesses and intellectual property, allowing talent to act as founders rather than just promotional figures.

Primal intends to provide capital, creative development, and operating resources to turn ideas into standalone companies. The firm will focus on a curated portfolio across several sectors, including fashion, sports, entertainment, media, technology, hospitality, and consumer products.

This venture follows Young Thug’s existing business successes, such as his streetwear brand SP5DER and his work with YSL Records. Through Primal, he seeks to help a new generation of creators own the upside of their cultural influence by maintaining ownership of the intellectual property they help build.
