Young Thug mentors Atlanta youth following legal proceedings

Rapper Young Thug visited the Next Level Boys Academy in Atlanta to mentor young men who have already encountered the criminal justice system. During the visit, he shared personal insights regarding the consequences of legal struggles and violence.

Drawing from his experience in a lengthy Georgia RICO case, the artist advised the youth to turn to the Bible and warned against the use of firearms. He stated, “It ain’t working, bro. I’m telling you, bro. I sat in the courtroom almost 3 years. I feel like a lot of y’all need to get in touch with the Bible for real. Guns kill people no matter what.”

Young Thug recently concluded a significant legal battle involving racketeering and gang activity charges. On October 30, 2024, he pleaded guilty to six counts, resulting in a sentence that includes 15 years of probation and a potential 20-year sentence if probation is violated.
