Young Thug conducts mentorship visits at Georgia schools

Atlanta rapper Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, recently conducted community outreach and mentorship visits at schools in Georgia. At Skyview High School in College Park, he hosted a ‘Back-to-School Bash’ featuring food trucks, games, and prizes such as gift cards and headphones. During the event, Williams participated in a Q&A session with students to offer guidance on the music industry and personal life, stating he wanted students to feel seen and supported.

In a separate appearance at Cirrus Academy Charter School in Macon, Williams shared advice regarding the influence of celebrity. He argued that fame is a critical asset, suggesting that ‘fame is really the most important’ because it can provide access to significant opportunities and influence comparable to wealth. He advised students to be intentional and ‘move militant’ to ensure their platform leads them to the right environments.
