Young Thug Urges Quavo to Join YSL Records

On August 3, Young Thug publicly invited fellow rapper Quavo to leave Capitol Records and sign with his YSL Records imprint, commenting on Quavo’s Instagram post that showed the artist smoking outside Capitol’s headquarters. Quavo, who remains signed to Capitol through his long‑time parent label Quality Control Records, did not respond to the request and is expected to stay with his current label.

The two have a history of collaborations, including the tracks “Guwop,” “Pick Up the Phone,” “Circle of Bosses,” and “You Said.” Earlier in June, Young Thug made a similar public pitch to Kodak Black, who countered with a $100 million signing fee and a collaboration demand, after which Thug dropped the pursuit.
