Youth art initiatives launched in Jujuy and Mexico
In Jujuy, Argentina, the Provincial Institute of Gambling (INPROJUY) has launched the “Jujuy Pinta Juego Responsable” contest. The initiative invites secondary school students aged 13 to 18 to create original artistic messages focused on responsible gambling, technology use, and family support. Participants can use various techniques, including digital tools and artificial intelligence. The winning design will be transformed into a large-scale public mural by a professional artist, and the student winner will receive a tablet.
In Mexico, the Mexican Institute of Youth (IMJUVE) reported that approximately one million young people participated in a national muralism day inspired by Day of the Dead traditions. Part of the “Jóvenes Transformando México” strategy, the event involved artistic interventions in schools, plazas, and public spaces across all 32 states. The initiative included 32 cultural festivals and offers participants the opportunity to apply for full scholarships for a Muralism Diploma in 2027.
