Youth chess players secure medals in European and Croatian championships

The Serbian U12 open chess team secured a bronze medal at the European Youth Team Chess Championship held in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The team achieved third place after a decisive final round victory against Ukraine with a score of 3.5:0.5. The winning Serbian squad included Leonid Ivanović, Nikola Adamović, Miloš Pasula, Uroš Perunović, and Matija Arsenijević, led by coaches Srđan Čarnić and Novak Pezelj.

In Croatia, young chess players from the Vukovar-Srijem County achieved notable results at the 35th Croatian Chess Championship for juniors in Split. In the girls' U17 category, Dunja Udovičić from ŠK Vinkovci took second place, while Eva Maltašić from ŠK PPD Vukovar took third. Other top performers included Dunja Uzelac, who finished fifth in the same category, and Josipa Zovko, who placed fifth in the girls' U19 category.
