Youth employment initiatives launched in French Polynesia and Côte d'Ivoire

Various regional initiatives are targeting youth employment and professional integration. In Papeete, French Polynesia, participants in the ‘Booste Ton Emploi’ program completed a two-week intensive training session at the Mama’o community center. The program, managed by the City of Papeete’s Direction de l’Emploi, Jeunesse, Sports et la Cohésion Sociale, aims to provide job seekers with concrete tools to foster professional insertion and autonomy.

In Bouaflé, Côte d'Ivoire, 200 young people received certificates following a one-month immersion program under the National Internship and Retraining Program (PNSR). Organized by the Ministry of Youth Promotion and the Agence Emploi Jeunes, the initiative placed students and university participants in public and private sectors. The program provides a monthly stipend of 45,000 CFA francs to help participants prepare for the upcoming school year while discouraging idleness and illegal activities.
