Youth Employment Initiatives Launched in San Carlos and Durazno

The municipality of San Carlos opened registrations for the provincial "Enlace Joven" program, offering paid professional internships to university and tertiary students aged 18 to 30. Selected participants will work up to 20 hours per week for ten months, receiving a monthly stipend equal to 85 % of the minimum wage. Eligibility requires at least 50 % of coursework completed and permanent residence in Mendoza province.

In Durazno, Uruguay, the national "Más Barrio" social‑urban integration scheme announced a call for an architect and a social worker. Both positions are 12‑month contracts with a 40‑hour weekly workload, 60 % of which must be spent on territorial work. Applications close on 31 July, and the roles are part of a broader effort covering several departments, including Rivera and Maldonado.

Both initiatives aim to strengthen the link between education and the labour market and to support local development through targeted professional placements.
