Italian youth fencing clubs secure medals at regional competitions

Several Italian youth fencing clubs achieved significant results during recent regional and interregional competitions for the Under 14 category.

At the interregional Gran Premio Giovanissimi (GPG) event in Ariccia, which included athletes from Lazio, Umbria, Abruzzo, and Marche, Uisp Scherma Orvieto secured an silver medal through Leonardo Le Grand in the epee category and a bronze via Lorenzo Lamanna. Scherma Grifo Perugia also saw success in Ariccia, with Federico Ribigini winning gold in the Maschietti category, while Zoe Capputi and Alice Scapicchi earned bronze medals.

In Acireale, Conad Scherma Modica recorded a strong start to their season, earning eleven medals. Notable winners included Nicolò Cannizzaro and Sofia Spadaro, who both secured gold in their respective foil categories. The club's performance serves as preparation for upcoming national competitions in Caorle and La Spezia.
