Youth Film Camps Wrap Up in Croatia and Slovenia

The 17th edition of the Gunja Summer Film School, organized by the Multimedia Centre Studio Creative Ideas Gunja, concluded on 2 August 2026 in the forest camp of Zvjezdangrad, Spačva. Thirty‑five participants from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia completed six workshops in narrative, documentary and animated film, as well as cyanotype art, producing short films such as the post‑apocalyptic drama “Nulta točka”. The closing ceremony was led by Kristina Kovačević and attended by local officials including Anto Gutić.

Meanwhile, the 15th International Youth Film Camp began on 7 August 2026 in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, organized by Kinoatelje and the Silvana Furlan Foundation. Seventeen young creators from Slovenia, Italy and the diaspora gathered under the theme “Beyond Established Frames” to explore new storytelling approaches. Thirteen of the participants are returning campers, and the program emphasizes collaborative film production and media literacy.
