Youth filmmaking workshops held in Croatia

Youth filmmaking workshops are being held in Croatia to provide practical training for aspiring creators. In Ivanovec, near Čakovec, the 3rd Film Camp is hosting students from Međimurje, Varaždin, and Hungary. The program, which is free for participants, includes workshops on both feature and documentary filmmaking. Participants learn the entire creative process, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to filming and final editing.

In Široki Brijeg, a film workshop supported by the Mediteran Film Festival has been running for 13 years. The program has trained over 250 participants to date, offering specialized tracks in creative roles such as directing and screenwriting, or technical roles including camera operation, lighting, and sound. Students gain access to professional-grade equipment, including RED cameras, to simulate real production environments.
