Youth Firefighting Teams compete in regional Polish competitions

Youth Firefighting Teams (MDP) recently participated in regional sports and firefighting competitions in Poland. In Korczyna, young firefighters competed in various disciplines including fire relays, drill, and combat exercises to demonstrate their speed, accuracy, and teamwork.

In the Biłgoraj County competitions held at the Biszcza-Żary reservoir, 14 teams competed following international CTIF regulations. The events included obstacle fire relays and combat exercises. Local officials noted that such competitions serve to integrate youth and build a future workforce for volunteer fire departments, which is essential for regional civil protection.

Top performers in the Biłgoraj County event included MDP Smólsko Duże and MDP Potok Górny for the girls' category, while MDP Stary Bidaczów took first place in the boys/mixed category.
