Youth football teams in Djibouti and Madagascar begin international preparations
Youth football programs in Djibouti and Madagascar are undergoing intensive preparation for upcoming international competitions.
In Djibouti, the Djibouti Football Federation (FDF) has implemented a rigorous training schedule for its U17 and U20 national teams. Players are training six days a week at the national academy to improve athletic conditioning and tactical execution. The program includes a series of three friendly matches designed to expose young players to the physical and tactical demands of senior-level football.
In Madagascar, the Barea U15 and U17 squads are preparing for international play. The U15 team, supported by the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, is preparing for the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival in Azerbaijan, scheduled for late October. Meanwhile, the U17 team is preparing for the COSAFA Cup, following a period of rebuilding after previous regional tournament challenges.
