Youth forums held in Bulgaria focus on democracy and inclusion
Two distinct youth-oriented forums were recently held in Bulgaria, focusing on civic engagement and social inclusion.
In Pazardzhik, the Erasmus+ international youth exchange “Digital Democracy: Youth Voices Online!” brought together 36 young leaders and teachers from Bulgaria, Turkey, Slovakia, Romania, Portugal, and Greece. Organized by the Forum Center for Youth Activities, the program addressed topics such as voter motivation, the impact of youth on political decisions, and media literacy. Participants engaged in debates and digital campaign creation to promote active citizenship.
In Pernik, the “Spectrum of Possibilities” forum focused on autism, inclusive education, and support for individuals with special needs. Held at the International Youth Center, the event facilitated dialogue between specialists, parents, and institutional representatives, including Pernik Deputy Mayor Stefan Krastev. Discussions centered on creating accessible environments and fostering partnerships between families and educational institutions to help young people with special needs develop their full potential.
