Youth leadership and civic immersion camps held in Congo and Burkina Faso
Various youth immersion programs were held in August 2026 across Congo and Burkina Faso, focusing on leadership, civic duty, and professional development.
In Oyo, Congo, the inaugural Brazzaville International Leadership Youth Forum (Bilyf) hosted 300 young participants from August 19 to 21. The camp focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional development through workshops, practical exercises, and meetings with established entrepreneurs. The program also integrated sports and cultural activities.
In Burkina Faso, the second edition of the Faso Mêbo Vacation Camp took place in the 1st Military Region near Kaya. Participants engaged in an immersion program to learn about the missions and capabilities of the national defense and security forces, including the Army, Gendarmerie, and National Police. Lieutenant-Colonel Amado Bambara led discussions with the campers regarding geopolitics and national identity.
