Youth networks activated in Cautillo Merendero, Cuba

The Unión de Jóvenes Comunistas (UJC) has activated its youth network in the Cautillo Merendero community in Granma, Cuba. The initiative aims to implement projects proposed by younger generations in coordination with local government and political organizations.

Key projects highlighted include ‘Cuba Viva’, ‘Voltaje juvenil’, and ‘Zona joven segura’. The latter, involving the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) and the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), has reported successes in the social reintegration of former inmates through employment and behavioral support.

Community activities included a cultural program featuring music, dance, and poetry, alongside visits to local social assistance centers (SAF) to monitor food supply and support for vulnerable populations.
