Youth orchestras scheduled for summer performances in Italy

Several youth orchestra performances are scheduled as part of summer music programs in Italy.

On August 21, the Orchestra Giovanile della Svizzera italiana will perform at the Rocca di Caterina Sforza in Forlì. Directed by Yuram Ruiz and featuring cellist Laura Sofia Brandão Álvares, the program includes works by Bizet, Haydn, and Mozart.

As part of the Cremona Summer Festival, the Essex Music Service will hold a double concert at Cortile Federico II on August 25. The event will feature the Essex Youth Orchestra, directed by Robin Browning and Atharv Gupta, followed by the Essex Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Essex Youth Jazz Nonet, directed by Martin Hathaway and Thomas Jiggins.
