Youth Parliament programs held in India to promote drug-free lifestyles

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Mera Yuva Bharat initiative, several ‘Pados Youth Parliament’ programs were organized across India to promote the ‘Drug-Free Youth for Developed India’ campaign.

In Gangapur City, a program was held at the Government College where students participated in awareness activities, including slogan writing and video screenings, to discuss the physical, mental, and social impacts of substance abuse. Participants took a formal pledge to remain drug-free and spread awareness within their families and communities.

Similarly, a block-level event took place at Shanti Devi Memorial Public Inter College in Sitapur. The program featured medical experts and psychologists who provided information on addiction prevention, treatment, and counseling. The event also incorporated yoga instruction to encourage mental discipline and used street plays and storytelling to educate youth on the dangers of drug use.
