Youth players find motivation following Shin Miidera's J1 debut

Young talents in Japanese football are gaining attention following the professional debut of 16-year-old Yokohama F. Marinos midfielder Shin Miidera. Miidera, who previously played for FC Forclasse Tohoku (formerly FC Forclasse Sendai), made a significant impact in his J1 debut, scoring in a match that highlighted his rapid rise through the youth ranks.

His success has served as a catalyst for former teammates and peers. Ryota Hariu, an 18-year-old midfielder for Shimizu S-Pulse and a former teammate of Miidera at FC Forclasse Sendai, expressed how Miidera’s fearless play has motivated him to perform better in the newly established U-21 J.League.

Additionally, Shimizu S-Pulse's special designated player, 20-year-old Yuusho Tsuji from Kokugakuin University, is working to increase his presence within the team. Tsuji recently provided an assist in a practice match against J2 Shonan Bellmare, aiming to secure playing time during the summer period.
