Youth recognition initiatives launched in Bjelovar and Bosnia and Herzegovina

In Bjelovar, Croatia, the Children's City Council has launched a public call titled ‘Mali ljudi, velika djela – ponos Bjelovara’ (Small People, Big Deeds – Pride of Bjelovar). The initiative seeks to recognize five children between the ages of 6 and 14 who have demonstrated exceptional humanity, solidarity, courage, or selflessness. Eligible candidates include those who assist elderly neighbors, care for animals, or participate in humanitarian activities. All nominees will receive a certificate and a badge, while five ‘Champions of Goodness’ will receive special awards.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, BH Pošta hosted an awards ceremony for the 55th international youth letter-writing competition. The theme focused on the importance of human connection in a digital world. Adna Omerović from Živinica took first place, followed by Anđela Ćorić from Mostar in second, and Milica Nikoletić from Banja Luka in third. Irinej Janković from Trebinje received the award for the most creative letter. BH Pošta Director Adis Šehić emphasized that true closeness is measured by attention rather than the number of digital messages exchanged.
