Youth religious oratoriums held in Gabela Polje and Brusnice
Recent religious youth oratoriums were held in Gabela Polje, Croatia, and Brusnice, Slovenia, focusing on community building and spiritual growth through various activities.
In Gabela Polje, the ‘Sidro’ oratorium gathered 280 children from the Neretva Valley parishes from August 18 to 20. Led by Don Bernard Marijanović, the event involved 45 animators and 15 volunteers. Under the theme ‘My vocation is love,’ the program included dances, skits, catechisms, workshops, and daily masses. Bishop Petar Palić of Mostar-Duvno attended, presiding over a mass and offering pastoral guidance to the participants.
In Brusnice, the oratorium took place from August 17 to 21 under the motto ‘Living is beautiful!’ The event brought together 64 children and 19 animators. Guided by Vicar Peter Kokotc and Deacon Matic Vidic, the week featured storytelling, workshops, and games. The program concluded with a mass and a community gathering, supported by local parish members and regional businesses.
