Youth sports competitions held in Chile and Argentina

Regional youth sports competitions are underway in South America. In Chile, the Tarapacá region is preparing a delegation of approximately 190 athletes, technicians, and delegates for the 2026 National School Sports Games (JDE) Sub-14 finals. The event will take place in the Valparaíso Region from September 22 to October 4. The delegation includes participants from Iquique, Alto Hospicio, Pozo Almonte, and Pica, competing in various disciplines such as basketball, futsal, handball, and table tennis.

In Argentina, the Sub-14 Regional Women's Volleyball Tournament has commenced in Santiago del Estero. The competition features 24 teams and more than 300 young athletes from the provinces of Salta, Jujuy, Catamarca, La Rioja, Tucumán, and Santiago del Estero. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the Copa Argentina de Clubes Campeones, with the top six positions earning spots in the national competition.
