Youth sports festivals held in Mie and Aichi prefectures

Various youth sports events were held in Japan to promote athletic development and engagement among children.

In Mie Prefecture, the Dream Ocean Stadium Festival 2025 took place on December 13 and 14. The event targeted junior high school soft baseball players from the Matsusaka area. Programs included a school-based speed ball contest, where Chubu Junior High School won with a combined pitch speed of 231 km, and baseball clinics for approximately 200 participants. The festival also featured matches between select teams, Dream and Ocean, composed of players from 14 local schools.

In Aichi Prefecture, Aichi University of Education hosted the 5th Multi-Sports Festa. As part of the university’s ‘Children’s Campus Project,’ the event provided elementary school students with rotating experiences in soccer, basketball, and volleyball. The festival involved collaborations with local professional sports organizations, including FC Kariya, SeaHorses Mikawa, and Toyota Motor Sanpiena, to offer instruction to beginners.
