In Kribi, Cameroon, the 8th edition of the Célestin Lucien Piado holiday championship took place at the Londji Public School stadium. The event was attended by local authorities and notable figures, including Patrice Melom, Director General of the Autonomous Port of Kribi, and Minister of Forestry and Wildlife Jules Doret Ndongo. The tournament featured trophies including a replica of the World Cup.
In Abomey, Benin, the 2nd edition of the National School League concluded after eight days of competition across five disciplines. Notable performances included Ogouvidé Babel scoring 58 points in a basketball match and Adonon Anne winning the women's 400m athletics event with a time of 58.7 seconds. Minister of Sports and Civic Engagement Benoît Dato emphasized that the league aims to provide structured pathways for young athletes to reach high-level competition while fostering discipline and citizenship.
