Youth sports updates: Venezuela volleyball and Bolivian chess results

The Venezuelan women's U17 volleyball team finished 14th in the World Championship. After a strong opening round with three wins and two losses, the team advanced to the knockout stages. However, they were defeated by Chinese Taipei in the round of 16 and subsequently lost to Poland in the classification round for positions 9 through 16.

In Bolivia, the National Qualifier for the South American Youth Festival concluded in Santa Cruz. In the U14 category, Gael Cortez and Ángeles Quispe emerged as winners. In the U8 category, Matías Colque and Danna Flores secured victories. The Bolivian Chess Federation will hold further qualifying tournaments for the U16, U10, U18, and U12 categories in Beni and Cochabamba later this month and in September.
