Youth summer programs conclude in Cananea and Soledad
Various summer programs for children and youth have concluded in different regions of Mexico.
In Cananea, Sonora, Grupo México completed its 2026 Summer Course, which hosted 490 children and young people. Supported by 114 volunteers, the two-week program included sports such as baseball, basketball, soccer, handball, and volleyball, as well as contemporary and folk dance. Organizations including the Red Cross and the Museo de la Lucha Obrera participated in the activities.
In Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, the Municipal System for the Integral Family Development (SMDIF) concluded its 2026 Summer Camps. More than 1,500 children participated across eight Community Development Centers. The program focused on recreational, sporting, and cultural activities designed to provide safe environments for learning and social interaction during the vacation period.
