Youth support initiatives launched in Montceau-les-Mines and Alès

Various youth support initiatives have been launched in France to assist young people with professional development and social benefits.

In Montceau-les-Mines, Info Jeunes Saône-et-Loire introduced the 2026-2027 Carte Avantages Jeunes. This card, available to those under 30 in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, provides access to over 4,000 discounts and free services in areas such as culture, sports, and leisure. Mayor Isabelle Louis emphasized the importance of providing support and listening spaces for youth facing academic and professional uncertainties.

In Alès, the Mission locale organized a ‘service civique dating’ event to connect approximately 350 young people with various organizations. The event functioned as a professional speed-dating session, allowing participants to meet with about fifteen structures—including associations and local collectives—to find voluntary missions of general interest. These missions are designed to help youth develop skills and experience while contributing to society.
