Youth talent competitions launched in Siena and Trapani

Two distinct initiatives aimed at fostering youth talent have been announced in Italy. In Siena, the municipality has launched the second edition of ‘Stelle in Corsa’, a talent show designed to provide artistic expression and visibility for young people. The competition is open to individuals and groups of up to five people aged 18 to 35 who reside in the province of Siena or are enrolled in local educational institutions. Participants can showcase skills in music, dance, acting, and other live performances. Applications are open until November 3, 2026, with a final showcase scheduled for April 7, 2027, at the Teatro dei Rinnovati.

In Trapani, the Kiwanis Club Trapani Saturno, in collaboration with the AICS provincial committee, has introduced ‘Saturno di Parole’, a literary competition for young people. The contest invites secondary school students and adults to submit poetry in Italian, with an additional category for Sicilian language entries for those over 18. Submissions must be anonymous and are due by January 31, 2027. The competition offers scholarships for the top three student winners, while the adult category will receive certificates and merit plaques. The awards ceremony is expected to take place by June 30, 2027, in Trapani.
